EIGHT IRAQI UNIVERSITIES ACHIEVE COMPETITIVE POSITIONS IN THE TIMES ASIAN UNIVERSITIES RANKINGS
Eight Iraqi universities have achieved important competitive positions in the Times Asian Universities Rankings 2023.
Official results (https://www-timeshighereducation.com/world-university - rankings/2023/regional ranking#! /length/25/locations/IRQ/sort by/rank/sort stats/cols/asc/order) an evaluation of six hundred and sixty-nine universities from thirty-one countries, including Iraq, where the University of Babylon ranked 199, then the University of Technology ranked 251-300, followed by the University of Anbar in 301-350 and the universities of Baghdad, Mosul and Al-Mustansiriya ranked 501-600 Basrah and Kufa 601 + Asia.
It is worth noting that the Times Asian universities rankings evaluates universities according to 5 basic criteria: education 25%, scientific research 30%, citations 30%, international outlook 7.5%, and knowledge transfer 7.5%.
It is worth noting that Iraqi universities and colleges record their increasing competition in international rankings, including the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, in which the University of Baghdad appeared in the chemical engineering major (The Times) classification in which there are eight universities, and the (QS) classification in which there are five universities. And (Greenmetric) classification, in which seventy-three Iraqi universities and colleges entered, and the URA classification, in which four Iraqi universities are located, in addition to (Webometrics) classification, which recorded the attendance and competition of more than one hundred Iraqi universities and colleges.
