UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A VISIT TO A HOME FOR THE ELDERLY
The Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, in collaboration with the Human Rights Unit and the Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, organized a field visit to a home for the elderly in the governorate. The visit involved college members, staff, and students.
The initiative aimed to foster values of social solidarity and human connection with this esteemed group. The program included providing moral support, assessing the residents' needs and requirements firsthand, and distributing various in-kind supplies to help meet their personal needs and bring joy to their hearts.
The visit concluded with a recommendation to continue such periodic initiatives and to increase institutional and service-related support for the home, ensuring a dignified environment for its residents.
