UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES WORKSHOP ON PYRAMID MARKETING
The Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Administration and Economics in collaboration with the College’s Department of Finance and Banking and the University of Basrah’s Center for Continuing Education and Development—organized an awareness workshop titled "Pyramid Marketing: The Reality and the Danger."
The workshop aimed to educate the academic community and students about the economic and psychological risks associated with these suspicious practices.
Presented by college members Sarah Abbas Ali, Athraa Jasib Abadi, and Zahra Abdul-Hussein Daher, the workshop covered the nature and concept of pyramid marketing, as well as the mechanisms it employs—which rely on luring individuals with illusory promises of quick profit.
The workshop concluded with a recommendation to avoid engaging with such networks and to protect individuals from falling into the trap of financial fraud.
