A MASTER’S THESIS AT BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSES THE USE OF THE PIEZO METHOD AND OTHER METHODS FOR ESTIMATING THE SURVIVAL FUNCTION OF THE EXPANDED POWER FUNCTION DISTRIBUTION WITH APPLICATION
On Wednesday 20/4/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra discussed a master’s thesis in the Department of Statistics on (the use of the piezo method and other methods for estimating the survival function of the expanded power function distribution with application).
The thesis of the researcher (Haider Salem Abdul-Kareem) aims to estimate the expanded power function distribution using the bayesian method and other methods using a squared loss function and using the simulation method to choose the best method for estimating the survival function.
The thesis concluded that the estimating of the survival function by the T-K method was more close to the true values for most experiments and for all sample sizes and that the worst method on the experimental side is the bayes method based on fisher’s information.
