A PhD THESIS AT BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSES THE EFFICIENCY OF THE PERFORMANCE OF IRAQI PORTS IN LIGHT OF THE EXPERIENCE OF JOINT OPERATION FOR THE PERIOD 2003-2019:

A PhD thesis was discussed in the Economics Department of the College of Administration and Economics at Basra University ((Efficiency of the performance of Iraqi ports in light of the experience of joint operation for the period 2003-2019)).
The researcher's thesis included ((Shoukor Mahmoud Jassim)) laying down the theoretical framework for the concepts of efficiency and performance methods of measuring them and their indicators studying the reality of Iraqi ports in light of the experience of joint operation in addition to measuring the efficiency of the performance of Iraqi ports.
The thesis aims to measure the efficiency of the performance of Iraqi ports before and after the experience of joint operation and to identify the most efficient companies using DEA data envelope analysis method and other statistical methods, which is a modern method used for the first time in measuring the performance efficiency of Iraqi ports.
The thesis recommended the use of modern tools in measuring the efficiency of the performance of Iraqi ports and the introduction of Iraqi manpower into the work of joint operating companies in order to gain experience and skill.
