BASRA UNIVERSITY HOLDS ITS THIRTEENTH SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE VIA THE ELECTRONIC ZOOM PLATFORM
The College of Administration and Economics at Basra University held the work of the thirteenth scientific conference, entitled ((Mismanagement and Waste in Economic Resources)), which was held under the slogan "Diagnosing problems is a basic pillar for appropriate solutions." For the period 4-5 / 2020/11 through the electronic zoom platform.
The conference aims to offer academic solutions that serve the problems of economy and management in Iraq during the current period.
The conference which concluded today included the presentation of (23) research by researchers and specialists from Basra University and Iraqi universities within economic, administrative, financial, banking, accounting, statistical and information systems axes.
The conferees recommended emphasizing the importance of using forecasting in formulating decisions as a method for building future plans, and the need to increase direct and effective government support to organizations in general, and to provide sound ways to combat administrative and financial corruption through reorganization and business structures and make it appropriate to adopt modern electronic methods of doing business and moving away from procedures Routine work, in addition to the need to develop a database for the decision-maker that occurs continuously to enhance and support the decision and move away from improvised solutions on the one hand and access to the administrative creativity process on the other hand.
Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference, stated that economic crises and proper planning of governments cannot be successful with political decisions unless there is a solid link between the academic vision in universities and research centers and the decision-maker in an integrated manner in order to develop economic plans And proper planning based on academic insights.
