A phd. Dissertation at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the financial variables of the investment environment using financial models and future scenarios: a case study of Iraq.
The dissertation, submitted by student Amjad Mohammed Fahd, aimed to analyze the impact of financial and institutional variables on the Iraqi investment environment during the period 2006–2024, and to develop financial models and future scenarios to anticipate investment trends and assess their impact on the attractiveness of the Iraqi economy.
The dissertation included an analysis of several financial and institutional variables, relying on econometric methods, advanced financial models, and future scenario analysis.
The dissertation concluded that improving financial indicators and enhancing the quality of institutions and governance directly contribute to increasing the efficiency of the investment environment and its ability to attract investments.
The dissertation recommended the necessity of developing institutional frameworks, enhancing transparency and financial stability, and adopting economic policies that support investment and sustainable development in Iraq.
