UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A SEMINAR ON THE BASICS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND REPORT WRITING
The College of Administration and Economics/Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit at the University of Basrah organized an educational seminar on the basics of scientific research and report writing.
The seminar aimed to explain the methods of writing scientific and academic reports and the necessity of adhering to scientific methodology and accurate documentation of sources, with a focus on academic writing skills and avoiding plagiarism.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Ahmed Jabr Salem, Dr. Azhar Abdul Latif, and Dr. Siham Ghali, highlighted the importance of scientific research in developing academic knowledge and serving society. The concept of scientific research and its basic objectives were explained, along with the methodological steps for writing research, starting with defining the problem and formulating hypotheses, through collecting and analyzing data, and ending with presenting the results and recommendations.
The seminar recommended the necessity of adopting a scientific approach to thinking and analysis, given its significant impact on developing the educational process and raising the quality of university outcomes.
