THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH WELCOMES THE ADVISOR TO THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH:
The Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan Attia, accompanied by the President of the University of Basrah, Prof.Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, paid an official visit to the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah. The visit aimed to review the college's current status and the educational programs implemented there.
During the visit, an expanded meeting was held with a select group of college students, during which their opinions and suggestions regarding the progress of the educational process were heard, in addition to presenting the most important problems and obstacles facing them in some of the new programs. The meeting was also attended by the Dean's Assistants and heads of academic departments. The meeting discussed ways to develop programs and overcome difficulties to achieve the greatest possible benefit for students and faculty.
In a statement, the advisor to the Minister of Higher Education confirmed that the Ministry places great importance on universities' experiences in program development, particularly with regard to digital transformation and automation. He emphasized that "the student's voice is the cornerstone of any development process, and that listening directly to their concerns and suggestions contributes to enhancing the quality of education and bridging the gap between decision-makers and students."
For his part, the President of the University of Basrah expressed his full support for all efforts aimed at improving the university environment and expanding access to modern programs. He emphasized that the university continues to embrace initiatives that raise student standards and keep pace with labor market requirements. He pointed out that the college's plan for the next phase will focus on promoting digital transformation and activating automation systems, which will contribute to advancing both the educational and administrative processes.
