A master's thesis at the University of Basrah examines the impact of liquidity on the banking sector:

A master's thesis from the Department of banking and financial at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the impact of the financing structure in the banking sector on banking liquidity. A study of a sample of commercial banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange (2010-2022)

The thesis, submitted by the student Alaa Mohammed Shadhar, aims to analyze the relationship between the financing structure and banking liquidity in Iraqi commercial banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange.

Based on the results of the FEM model, the thesis concluded that the ratio of owned capital to total assets is the most influential variable in banking liquidity compared to other sources of financing structure. In conclusion, the thesis concluded that there is no specific method for selecting sources of financing structure in commercial banks. The decision taken in this context depends on the circumstances of the bank itself and its surrounding environment, reflecting flexibility in adapting financing strategies and their impact on liquidity.
