The University of Basrah will participate in the University Debates World Cup
 On 15/1/ 2023 the beginning of the spring break.
Four debaters will be selected from students exclusively from the University of Basrah, and those who wish must pass the intelligence test from the following website:

Please note that the test result should be as follows:
Focusing on the following:
1 - In all linguistic intelligence tests, it must be taken into account that the test result is not less than 80%.
2 - Personal intelligence: The test result should not be less than 80%.
3 - Social intelligence: the test result should not be less than 70%.
4 - Logical-mathematical intelligence: the test result should not be less than 70%.

Important details

It is necessary to take into account the comments received from the universities, which are as follows: 
1 - The university team includes various specializations, which means the team includes medical and scientific information, Arabic literature and poetry, as well as English literature and poetry, along with the rest of the specializations. The nominated students from the colleges are selected after Conducting an interview and test by the committee formed by the university presidency.
2 - Providing an awareness idea with good benefits such as enhancing awareness, enhancing opportunities, enhancing funding and research, and enhancing education Higher)
3 -  The World Cup should be at the level of one university, each university doing such an activity, and then the winner from each university will be Participation in the World Cup at the Iraqi level, in addition to the possibility of expanding the World Cup to more than one debate, which would have been at the level of scientific competitions, one of which would be debates, in order to encourage the scientific aspect among students in all specializations, which contributes to achieving the desired goal of holding the competition, which is to motivate the student segment to Self-development and discovering their potential: 
4 - The success of the World Cup idea begins with a specialized sample of a specific specialty for the purpose of controlling the project’s outcomes, then expanding in the following years to introduce other specializations after an evaluation of the first experience is conducted to avoid any obstacles it had her first experience.)
5 - The start date of the World Cup will be the beginning of the spring break in universities on 15/1/2024.
6 - No new topics will be added to the debates except after obtaining the necessary official approvals from the committee supervising the topic in a manner that does not conflict with the religious, societal and moral identity of our dear country.
