The University of Basrah organizes an awareness-raising seminar entitled (Stress and psychological pressure among students - its causes and treatment)
On Tuesday 5/12/2023, the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, held an awareness-raising seminar entitled (Stress and psychological pressure among students - its causes and treatment). The seminar was moderated by the Lect. Ban Tawfiq Najm, the Educational Guidance Officer. In the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences, the lectures were attended by Assist. Lect. Sarah Abbas Ali, Assist. Lect. Israa Khairy Abd, and Assist. Lect. Asiya Ali Hadi, female lecturers in the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences.
The seminar included a discussion of the concept of stress and its effects on the student’s level and the effect of nervousness on his behavior, in addition to the role of the professor in reducing the influences on the student.
The seminar aimed to address the student’s stress and psychological tension as much as possible and reduce its negative effects on the health level.
The seminar recommended several basic points: practicing sports and reading to reduce tension and stress, taking care of mental and physical health, in addition to religious guidance and guidance from parents to solve problems related to this
