THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN ELECTRONIC AWARENESS WORKSHOP ON (PSYCHOLOGICAL PREPARATION TO RECEIVE EXAMS AMONG STUDENTS BETWEEN CAUSES AND TREATMENTS)
The Educational Counseling and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized an electronic awareness workshop on the platform of the (Google meet) program on Saturday, 1/5/2023 entitled:
(Psychological preparation to receive exams among students between causes and treatments)
The assist. Lect. Doaa Shahid Habib, a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration and responsible for the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit in the college, the assist. Lect. Maysa Sabri Jassim, a lecturer in the College of Education for Girls, and the trainer Hawra Muhammad Jabr, a human development trainer in the Educational Counseling Unit, lectured.
The workshop included several main axes in which the reasons that lead to failure to perform the exam were discussed, in addition to the acquired negative psychological aspects and ways to overcome them to obtain the desired result in performing the exam.
The workshop aimed to demonstrate the need for the student to adhere to the examination directives when performing the exam, and to avoid the phenomenon of cheating or any other methods that lead him to fail to perform the exam.
The workshop recommended important and necessary points represented in following a health system that the student must follow during the examination period in terms of dividing the hours of sleep on a regular basis according to the strategy of an organized application of sleeping hours and study hours and avoiding stimuli such as energy drinks, soft drinks, tea, coffee and others.
The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participating students, in appreciation of their distinguished attendance and good listening to these directives.
