University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Accounting Standards in the Speeches of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

The College of Administration and Economics – Department of Accounting, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education and the Center for Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies at the University of Basrah, organized a scientific seminar entitled "A Linguistic Reading of Accounting Standards in the Speeches of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)."

The seminar aimed to highlight the most important linguistic implications of accounting standards in the sermons of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), which students need in their academic and research studies, thus enhancing their understanding of specialized Arabic terminology and accounting standards alike.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Suhail Abdullah Nasser, Dr. Abbas Abdulaziz Sayhood, Dr. Hamid Silawi Lafteh, and lecturer Abbas Jassim Nasser, included a discussion of the accounting linguistic approach found in the sermons of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), an explanation of the historical context of these sermons, and an examination of their Islamic foundations according to Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
