THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES THE FIRST SPRING FESTIVAL AND A SHOPPING FESTIVAL:
The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah and under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, and under the supervision of the  Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Muntazer Fadel Al-Battat, and the preparation of the two teachers, Lecturer An Tawfiq Najm and Assistant Lecturer Shrouq Khalaf, today, Wednesday 15/3/2023  The First Spring Festival in the Central Library Hall in Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex.
The activities of the first day of the Spring Festival were opened with the recitation of a fragrance from the Holy Qur’an and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the righteous martyrs, The Iraqi national anthem was played.
The ceremony included the inaugural speech of the head of the department, and multiple paragraphs of student participation in popular poetry, painting, folklore, acting talents in a meaningful theatre, scientific competitions, and recorded interviews with the tributaries of science, professors of the department, presenting their biographies, in addition to honoring the top students in the department from 2005 to 2022, in addition to residency A shopping festival in the Central Library Square, which began on Tuesday.
It is worth noting that the festival was attended by a large gathering of the department's professors, some retired lecturers, heads of other scientific departments, lecturers and a number of students. The curriculum will conclude on Thursday, corresponding to the sixteenth of March.
