A HIGHER DIPLOMA RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES THE IMPACT OF APPLYING THE MANAGEMENT BY OBJECTIVES (MBO) METHOD ON PROJECT PERFORMANCE:
On Monday 13/3/2023 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed the research of the Higher Diploma in Project Management on (The Impact of Applying the Management by Objectives (MBO) Method on Project Performance) - an exploratory study in the General Company for Iraqi Ports.
The researcher's research (Sarah Sabih Yousef Al-Rubaie) aims to seek to adopt the method of management by objectives in a sound manner, because of its impact on raising performance and the level of efficiency in the organization, achieving coordination and effective control, and linking the goals of the organization with the goals of the individual.
The study concluded the importance of the management by objectives method in improving management at all levels, developing a system of oversight, monitoring performance, evaluating incentives based on the results achieved by the individual, and introducing employees to the basic requirements necessary to apply the management by objectives method in the organization. This method also creates belief in achieving goals in an integrated and regular manner at all levels successfully.
