A MASTER'S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES IMPROVING LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT BY USING EXPERT SYSTEMS IN IRAQI PORTS
On Wednesday 8/3/2023 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis in the Department of Business Administration on (improving logistics management by using expert systems in Iraqi ports) - a case study of container terminals in the port of Umm Qasr.
The researcher's thesis (Marwan Saad Hassan Al-Hasani) aims to improve logistics management at container terminals in the port of Umm Qasr by using the expert system based on rules, which combines mathematical models of the theory of waiting queues and the theory of statistical inference as components of the expert system.
The thesis reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is the contribution of expert systems to improving logistics management by improving performance indicators related to various logistics activities.
