THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH CONTRIBUTES TO SUPPORTING AND ORGANIZING THE 25TH GULF CHAMPIONSHIP
The University of Basrah represented by its officials and volunteer teams consisting of 1,700 male and female students, contributed to the support and organization of the 25th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the stadiums of the city of Basra next Friday.
On the volume of logistical support and organizational support, the university president Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, said "The voluntary teams consisting of professors and students of our university will participate in the work of promoting the football fans to the seats within the reception and ceremonies committee, as well as their participation in the technical operas of the opening and closing ceremonies of the tournament within the technical committee. A voluntary team of professors from the College of Engineering has actually begun to provide consultations in the field of sound and video engineering and the dynamics of lighting for the stadiums that will host the matches.
The university president added - other volunteer teams from the colleges of Arts and Education will participate in commentary work and simultaneous translation into foreign languages inside the stadiums and as interpreter facilities for upcoming foreign delegations, in addition to the participation of other student teams in cleaning the stadiums in cooperation with the Basra Municipality Directorate and its supporting sectors.
