THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A SCIENTIFIC TRIP TO THE CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ ,BRANCH OF BASRAH:

On Monday 19/12/2022, the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a scientific trip to the Central Bank of Iraq, the Basrah branch, for students of the fourth stage, accompanied by some of the department’s lecturers.

The scientific trip aims to introduce the mechanism of work in the departments of the Central Bank of Iraq, its tasks and the goals that the bank seeks to achieve.

The scientific trip included a valuable lecture by Dr. Qassem Raheef, Director of the Central Bank of Iraq, in which he dealt with the establishment of the Central Bank of Iraq in general and the Basrah branch in particular, and a statement of its importance and role in economic development, indicating as well as the organizational structure and departments of the bank and the work mechanism in those departments.

The participants in the scientific trip called for the continuation of such visits and providing the college with brochures introducing the activity of the Central Bank of Iraq in order to communicate with developments, interact with them and follow up on their impact on the economic growth of Iraq.
