Through an electronic vote and a field survey, the President of Basrah University was chosen among the best (100) Basrawi characters for the year 2022
The President of the University of Basrah Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, was chosen within the program of the best (100) Basrawi characters  for the year 2022 according to the electronic voting and field survey conducted by the Civilian Foundation for Journalism, Culture and Media and the Union of Iraqi Journalists, Basrah Branch.
The Foundation indicated that the choice came due to the services provided by Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi to the Basrawi community that framed all the meanings of humanity and began a program of expanded openness to the community through the projects presented by the university, as well as spreading a culture of cooperation in an effort to improve the reality of the city of Basra and its constant quest to raise the name of university of basrah  In the refineries of developed countries and their entry and issuance of international classifications locally ,Arabian and globally.
