A LECTURER AT BASRA UNIVERSITY PUBLISHES A SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL ON THE DETERIORATION OF THE GLOBAL ECONOMY AND CORONA PANDEMIC

The University of Basra announced the publication of a scientific research by the lecturer at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra, Dr. Tariq Tawfiq Yousef Al-Abdullah, in the Russian journal of agriculture and socio-economic studies, which is included in the DOAJ global database.

This journal aims to build a bridge between theory and practice in contemporary and modern social, administrative and economic research.

The joint research titled (The deterioration in the global economy and its relationship to the Coronavirus pandemic: which systems should continue to exist) aims to propose work in both the corporate governance system as well as work in the systems that operate under Islamic principles and teachings.  The study contributed to proposing amendments to the principles and mechanisms related to the corporate governance system in line with the country's economic conditions in the corona pandemic (COVID-19).

The thesis concluded that the integration between the two technologies contributes to supporting the competitive advantage of the company by reducing costs, making efficient pricing decisions, increasing profitability, providing appropriate information to management, and improving the overall performance of the company.

 The study recommended the necessity to apply the target cost technique in order to reduce production costs and achieve the highest possible return, and to use the unit of water, the conversion price on the basis of cost with the profit margin, to contribute to achieving profits for the unit.
