The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Chairs the Periodic Meeting of the Deans' Committee

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, chaired the fifth meeting of the Deans' Committee for Administrative and Economic Disciplines at the University of Babylon. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Amir Al-Yasiri, President of the University of Babylon, delivered a welcoming address to the deans of the colleges of administration and economics from Iraqi universities. The attendees discussed several topics, including:

- Providing input on opening doctoral studies in Financial and Banking Sciences at Al-Mustansiriya University and a master's program in Business Administration at Kirkuk University.

- Discussing the opening of certain specializations at a number of private universities, and appropriate decisions were made.

- Discussion of the appropriate preparations for conducting the Excellence and Intelligence Exam in the departments covered by the assessment exam, in which top students from all public and private universities will compete. The top performers will be honored by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and they will be exempt from the competitive exam if they apply for postgraduate studies. The exam will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Baghdad.

- Other organizational matters were discussed, and appropriate decisions were made.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the next meeting would be held at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basra, on February 5, 2026.
