University of Basra Implements Sustainable Afforestation and Environmental Conservation Initiative

As part of the Prime Minister's initiative for sustainable afforestation and environmental conservation, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Environment Directorate, implemented a campaign to plant 20,000 trees. This included planting 150 saplings in the college gardens. The Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Head of the Accounting Department, and several staff members participated in the campaign, emphasizing the importance of increasing green spaces and promoting sustainable environmental awareness.

This activity is part of the university's efforts to support government initiatives in combating desertification, improving the university environment, and establishing the concept of sustainable development in academic institutions.
