UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN AS PART OF THE NATIONAL TREE PLANTING DAY ACTIVITIES:
On Sunday 2/3/2025 a large tree planting campaign was held in all university sites, including the colleges of the Bab Al-Zubair site, under the direct direction of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, and with the participation of a committee from the College of Agriculture, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen, and with the follow-up of the Assistant Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assist. Prof. Dr. Audy Safaa Al-Din Fadhel, and on the occasion of the National Tree Planting Day, in implementation of the plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in conjunction with the initiative of the Prime Minister to plant five million trees and palm trees, with the participation of college members, employees and students of the college, various types of trees and plants were planted that contribute to creating a green university environment to achieve the goals of sustainable development in our generous university and an opportunity for national participation in preserving nature and confronting climate change
