A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the reflection of oil revenues on sustainable development indicators in Iraq for the period 2007-2022.
The thesis submitted by the student, Muntaha Qasim Faleh Al-Mansouri, aims to analyze sustainable development indicators and the oil sector in Iraq and study the volume of oil revenues resulting from oil exports achieved by Iraq, as well as analyze the reflection of oil revenues on sustainable development indicators in Iraq during the study period.
The thesis recommended that achieving sustainable development in Iraq be achieved by establishing a national sovereign fund allocated for investment and a portion of oil revenues in various assets inside and outside Iraq, to ensure financial sustainability for future generations, and strict controls must be put in place on the use of the funds of this fund.
