MASTER'S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH EXAMINES MEASURING AND ANALYZING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF BASRAH GOVERNORATE
A master's thesis at the University of Basrah in the College of Administration and Economics in the Department of Economics examined ((Measuring and analyzing the efficiency of the economic performance of the municipalities of Basrah Governorate using data envelopment analysis for the period 2021_2023)).
The thesis of the researcher, Baida Abbas Khalaf, aimed to measure and analyze the total productivity of the municipal factors of Basrah Governorate and identify the municipalities that did not achieve full relative efficiency and know the reasons behind this by using the data envelopment analysis method
The researcher concluded that there are twelve municipalities that were able to reach a high level of efficiency out of fifteen municipalities and were able to provide services of benefit to the residents of the district in which they are located.
The researcher recommended the necessity for inefficient municipalities to resort to the reference municipalities that have achieved high efficiency to learn about the plans and procedures they take in their work.
