UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF MACROECONOMIC POLICIES IN IRAQ:
A PhD. dissertation was discussed at the University of Basrah, College of Administration and Economics, Department of Economics, on financial sustainability within the framework of macroeconomic policies in Iraq for the period 2004-2024.
The dissertation of the student Ban Yassin Makki showed the extent of the impact of macroeconomic policies in achieving financial sustainability in Iraq. by using several financial, monetary and commercial indicators.
The dissertation aims to measure these indicators and analyze the extent to which Its effectiveness using ARDL and Eviews13 methodology.
The study concluded after conducting a set of statistics tests indicate that financial sustainability in Iraq is achieved during the study period is weak because it depends on one resource, which is Crude oil is vulnerable to depletion.
The dissertation recommended finding other sources of funding other than oil, diversifying the production structure in the Iraqi economy, and paying attention to other sources of funding.
