UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS-RAISING WORKSHOP ENTITLED (EDUCATION IN THE BOLONYA PROCESS)
The Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Department of banking and financial Sciences, organized an educational and guidance workshop entitled (Education in the Bolonya Process) on Tuesday 15/10/2024.
The workshop included lectures by: L. Dr. Shurooq Khalaf Latif, Head of the Department of banking and financial Sciences, Assist. Prof. Dr. Radi Obaid Nghamish, Rapporteur of the Department of banking and financial Sciences, and L. Dr. Ahmed Hisham Muhammad, a lecturer in the Department of banking and Financial Sciences, and Assist. Prof. Haider Salah, a lecturer in the Department of banking and Financial Sciences, introduced the Bolonya Process, which is considered one of the government programs launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the aim of developing the higher education sector by creating a unified educational environment that contributes to addressing the difficulties and obstacles facing educational institutions. The most important thing that distinguishes this process is the digital environment that it deals with, which will act as a repository for many administrative tasks and academic and examination procedures.
The workshop aimed to introduce lecturers to the mechanisms through which the requirements of this system can be prepared and how to deal with the digital environment for preparing the requirements of the academic program, which contributes to giving space in managing the system of the lecturer and the student within this system launched by the ministry to achieve more benefit.
In conclusion, the workshop recommended preparing future workshops to educate students on technical work mechanisms to develop their expertise in following up on the account and all administrative and educational orders.
