ISSUANCE OF A BOOK BY A LECTURER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH IN THE COLLEGE OF ADMINISTRATION AND ECONOMICS ON SPECIAL DRAWING RIGHTS IN IRAQ:
A joint book entitled Special Drawing Rights in Iraq was published by Prof. Dr. Ikhlas Baqir Hashim Al-Najjar, a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah.
The book, which included (178) pages distributed over six chapters, shed light on special drawing rights, which represent one of the components that complement and feed international monetary reserves.
Special Drawing Rights in Iraq have been a component of the international reserves of the Central Bank of Iraq since 2003, which began to be invested in 2009 by diversifying the basket of currencies invested in it with a balance in the International Monetary Fund. At the same time, it is a tool for paying external payments, as well as developing the economic sectors in Iraq.
