THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A FESTIVAL TO SUPPORT ORPHAN CHILDREN:
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah / Department of Banking and Financial Sciences, in cooperation with the College of Fine Arts, organized the first festival (Kaf Al- Ataa) for orphan children.
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah Prof Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, and the Dean of the College of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Thabet
And self-financing by lecturers and students of the department of banking and financial sciences, the ceremony included providing material and moral support for orphans as well as distributing gifts. 
The festival aimed to highlight the importance and role of educational institutions in supporting this important segment of society and strengthening ties between various segments of society by opening channels of communication between government institutions and civil society organizations and institutions, since this is an investment in the future of all of us and not just support for orphans.
