The book (crude oil production costs are released in Basra Oil Company 2009-2016) was issued for researchers Dr. Nabil Jaafar Abdul Reda in the Department of Economics - college of Administration and Economics at University  of Basra and Engineer Mustafa Jabbar - an Engineer at Basra Oil Company.

Abd al-Rida explained that the author discussed one of the most important and most dangerous topics, which are the cost of production of barrel from crude oil produced in Iraq's southern fields, The crude barrel production costs were calculated depending on the financial and accounting statements of the Basra Oil Company, Where the standard accounting and economic methods were adopted in the calculation of costs, which contributed to reducing controversy over the estimates of production costs for crude oil in Iraq under the absence of exact studies based on Iraqi oil companies.
