On Sunday 3/12/2023 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed the PhD dissertation in banking and financial sciences ((The effect of capital structure and capital expansions on maximizing the value of the company: Profitability is an intermediary variable) - An analytical study of a sample of companies registered in the Iraq stock exchange for the period from 2010 to 2021.
The dissertation of researcher Muhammad Naeem Ajaj, in a dialectical and philosophical analysis, aimed to demonstrate the effect of capital structure and capital expansions as independent variables in maximizing the value of the company as a dependent variable through profitability is a mediating variable.
The thesis concluded that capital structure and capital expansions still affect profitability, and that profitability affects the company's value, which means that profitability has full mediation and that the effect only occurs through it.
