THE COLLEGE OF ADMINISTRATION AND ECONOMICS PARTICIPATES IN THE FIRST MEDIA MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE SUPERVISING MEDIA WORK AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH
On Monday 19/6/2023 the Media Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah participated in the first media meeting that was conducted by the Supervising Committee of the Department of Media and Media Units in the colleges and centers affiliated to the University of Basrah.
The meeting was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, and was attended by a member of the committee, Dr. Diaa Al-Fakiki, Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Basrah Branch.
The meeting discussed ways to improve the level of performance of the university media because of its effective role in highlighting the activities held at the University of Basrah, and indicating the most prominent obstacles facing and hindering media work and raising news on social networking sites and the website and how to overcome them.
The workshop recommended the need for all university employees to cooperate with workers in the divisions and media units, and to hold a number of courses and workshops to develop the skills of the media staff in filming, writing media news, and uploading it to social networking sites and the website during the current summer vacation in preparation for the next academic year, in addition to focusing on news marketing to the university radio channels and the university satellite channel.
