MASTER'S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ON (ANALYZING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PROFITABILITY AND CREDIT RISK IN A SAMPLE OF BANKS)
On Monday 19/6/2023 the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis on ((Analysis of the relationship between profitability and credit risk in a sample of banks listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange for the period ((2010-2021))
The researcher's thesis aimed ((Noor Majid (Hamid) to study the factors that affect profitability, and to know the importance of profitability and how it contributes to preserving the continuation of the work of banks, in addition to knowing the relationship between profitability and credit risks in commercial banks (the research sample).
The thesis concluded that commercial banks should work with high efficiency in order to manage the risks they are exposed to, especially credit risks, because the increase in non-performing loans leads to a decrease in liquidity, and then this affects the activity and work of banks.
