THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES A MASTER'S THESIS ON THE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT ACCORDING TO STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
On Sunday 11/6/2023, the Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis on the requirements for applying occupational health and safety management in accordance with ISO 45001 - 2018 (a case study at the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies). 
The researcher Alaa Abdel-Amir Abbas's thesis aims to implement the occupational health and safety management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 45001 in the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies.
The thesis concluded that the developments and radical changes taking place in the internal and external work environment impose on organizations of all types and fields of work, including the maritime academies, to adopt and implement professional and efficient health and safety systems that are in line with international standards.
