THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A SET OF FLIPPED LEARNING COURSES TO TRAIN ITS TEACHING STAFF
Within the French e-learning project launched by the Francophone University Agency (AUF) to accelerate the digital transformation of higher education in the Middle East (FSPI) in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Basrah has started training its teaching staff from all colleges, numbering more than 250 male and female lecturers, on a course of the flipped learning is divided into small groups that do not exceed twenty participants in each session.
The head of the University of Basrah team for the French e-learning project, Dr. Uday Bashir Issa, said that the course includes many important topics for developing the ability of academic staff at our university and includes practical applications on the latest digital tools in the field of electronic content industry, learning design and evaluation.
The course included the delivery of a project by each trainee on the electronic platform, where the project includes designing a study unit according to the pillars of the flipped learning and downloading all relevant basic educational resources in addition to the list of good practices and the info graphic of the flipped learning.
It is worth noting that the University of Basrah has seven trainers accredited by the Francophone Agency for Universities, who have received intensive training from the organizing party, including the preparation of an electronic educational course, guidance and counseling in the digital educational environment and the flipped learning.
