THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH CELEBRATES ITS FIRST PLACE AMONG IRAQI UNIVERSITIES WITHIN TIMES CLASSIFICATION
The University of Basrah celebrated by being ranked first locally in the list of Iraqi universities and the list of the best 400 universities around the world out of (1591) educational institutions affiliated with the British Times classification, and winning the first place locally in the field of (Sustainable Development Projects 2023), which is one of The most important areas that the United Nations calls for revitalization in societies around the world.
The President of the University of Basrah Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, said that it is the third times that the University of Basrah has won by leading the British Times classification, which is one of the important international classifications to know the sobriety of higher education for universities around the world, and the victory came as a result of the concernedness of all Efforts starting from the teams in charge of the department, divisions and units of international classifications, led by Dr. Hussein Katea Abdel-Sada, to the cooperation of deans of colleges and brothers in the research teams as well as the units, divisions and departments of quality assurance in our university to the lowest hierarchical ladder in the university, all of which contributed to our university attaining prestigious scientific centers In the international classifications, according to the testimony of the international centers for classification, and not according to a certificate from inside Iraq.
Dr. Saad Shaheen added - we do not forget the continuous support from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and government departments, which allowed us to participate with them in many projects that formed our distinction in the classification, including projects (treatment of pollution), (clean energy), (quality of education), (fighting poverty) and (fighting poverty). Providing and purifying water and (eliminating unemployment) we aim to maintain this advanced position in this classification, and we realize that maintaining the lead is more difficult than reaching it, and we are just around the corner from entering a more important global classification, which is the (Shanghai) International Classification.
