THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH HOLDS A WORKSHOP ON THE PROBLEMS OF STATISTICAL ANALYSIS
On Tuesday 11/4/2023 the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah held a workshop on the problems of statistical analysis.
The workshop, in which Assist. Prof. Dr. (Bahaa Abdel-Razzaq Qassim) lectured, aims at the importance of statistics in supporting all sciences and disciplines, and discusses a number of errors and common problems in the statistical analysis of master’s theses, PhD dissertations, and scientific research, and how to address them in order to prevent them from falling into them, obtaining misleading results in the end that are far from practical reality.
The workshop recommended the necessity of relying in statistical analysis on those with specialization in statistics, as well as paying attention to learning the theoretical concepts of statistical methods and how to implement those using statistical programs.
