The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics—in collaboration with the College’s Human Rights Unit and the University of Basrah’s Center for Continuing Education and Development—organized a scientific workshop titled: "How to Write a Graduation Project: From Concept to Defense."
The workshop aimed to empower fourth-year students by addressing their academic and intellectual needs, introducing them to the methodological frameworks required for preparing graduation research, and enhancing their scholarly skills.
Presented by college members Mohammed Hashim Abdul-Karim, Al-Hassan Ali Abdul-Karim, and Ali Khalaf Mohammed, the workshop covered key topics such as selecting a research topic, formulating a research problem, the stages of writing a graduation project, research methodology, data collection, and the technical and research-based preparation required for the final defense and presentation.
The workshop concluded with a recommendation to continue providing students with scientific and methodological support viewed as a fundamental right that ensures access to comprehensive academic guidance and to promote methodological awareness to facilitate the students' academic and research journeys.
