On Wednesday 29/3/2023, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah hosted the first lectures of the awareness campaign launched by the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the University of Basrah on the dangers of the spread of viral hepatitis through a series of lectures delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Salman Sahib Atshan in Medical Microbiology and run by Mrs. Wafaa Hasaj Al-Mayahi, Director of the Women's Empowerment Unit at the University Presidency.
The campaign aims to educate students and associates about the most important ways of spreading viral hepatitis infection and how to avoid them in order to protect the segment of students and associates in the university from the community.
At the end of the campaign the Deanship of the College, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nadwa Hilal Joudeh, Assistant Dean of the College for Scientific Affairs, granted certificates of appreciation to the residents for organizing the awareness campaign, in recognition of their distinguished efforts and contribution to community service.
