University of Basra holds a seminar entitled ((Iraq's maritime transport sector and challenges)):

A seminar was discussed in the Department of Economics at the college of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra ((Iraq Maritime Transport and Challenges)) from the preparation of Dr. Adnan Farhan Al-Gowaren.

The researcher presented the reality of the maritime transport sector in Iraq during the period (2004-2015).

Al- Gowaren  was clarify  that  the developments in this sector have contributed to the rise in imports to Iraqi ports, The researcher also reviewed the challenges facing this sector, most important by corruption and chaos in the Iraqi ports as well as the low efficiency and productive indicators. In conclusion, the researcher put a future vision of this sector.
