A MASTER'S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES THE ROLE OF THE ECONOMY IN ACHIEVING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES, WITH REFERENCE TO IRAQ:
On Tuesday 17/1/2023 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis in the Department of Economics on (the role of economics in achieving environmental sustainability, international experiences with reference to Iraq).
The researcher's thesis (Mai Ali Wenan) aims to identify the concepts and basics of the green economy, to study international experiences in the transition to a green economy including Iraq, and what is the mechanism of transition towards a green economy in Iraq.
The thesis concluded that Iraq still has many obstacles that prevent transformation, so it is a duty to take care of the aspects, preserve air and water quality, and pay attention to alternative energy sources.
