A MASTER'S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES FINDING THE BEST ESTIMATE OF THE PARAMETERS AND RELIABILITY FUNCTION OF THE COMPLEX DISTRIBUTION (PARETO - EXPONENTIAL TRUNCATED) WITH A PRACTICAL APPLICATION
On Tuesday 6/12/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis in the Statistics Department on (finding the best estimate of the parameters and reliability function of the complex distribution (Pareto - exponential truncated) with practical application.
The researcher's thesis (Iman Qais Abdel Rahman) aims to find a new probability distribution (Pareto - the exponential truncated) using the method of constructing the distributions, deriving its properties and estimating its parameters using four methods of estimation, which are (the greatest possibility, moments, partial estimations, and Bays (Jafri's method))
The thesis concludes that the methods of moments and bays compete in preference and that all estimators have the property of coherence.
