THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH IS INCLUDED WITHIN THE “SHANGHAI” WORLD CLASSIFICATION OF UNIVERSITIES FOR THE YEAR 2022 
The University of Basrah was included in the “Shanghai” world classification of universities for the year 2022 and appeared in the ranking 2812 and among five Iraqi universities are (University of Baghdad and Northern Technical University , University of Babylon And finally the University of Mosul )
And this inclusion came after strenuous and great efforts by the presidency of the University of Basrah and the deanships of its colleges to enhance the scientific sobriety of the University of Basra and to achieve its most important goals.
Its worth noting that the “Shanghai “classification is one of the most important classifications and the most dependent in world universities classification
