A MASTER’S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE INTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEM CONTRIBUTES TO SUPPORTING THE COMPANY’S PERFORMANCE:
On Wednesday 11/5/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master’s thesis in the Accounting Department on (the extent to which the internal control system contributes to supporting the company’s performance, a case study in the Basra Oil Company).
The thesis of the researcher (Hanan Saleh Mahdi) aims to identify the internal control procedures and the main activities and functions in the Basrah Oil Company. The analysis of financial ratios was used to measure the financial performance based on the financial statements and final accounts.
The thesis concluded that the internal control system contributes to supporting financial performance by imposing the application of procedures and control laws on all activities especially financial activities.
