THE OPINION BOARD HOLDS ITS EXTRAORDINARY MEETING...AND THE MINMISTER OF EDUCASTION CALLS FOR AN INCREASE IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES AND THE ALLOCATION OF PLOTS OF LAND FOR LECTURERS                                   
The opinion panel at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held its extraordinary meeting in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Hakim Al-Zamili
In his speech the Minister of Education called on the Iraqi Council of Representatives to increase the number of specialized government universities to accommodate the increasing output, allocate plots of land for university professors and members of higher education, address the file of appointments in higher education institutions, review the retirement law, especially with regard to university professors, and allocate sufficient funds to meet the requirements of scientific research and to complete and maintain structures. University infrastructure and allocating a special budget for importing laboratory equipment.
