The University of Basra holds its fourteenth annual scientific conference:
The college of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra held on Wednesday 2021/12/1, the work of the 14th annual scientific conference ((environmental pollution and sustainable development in Iraq), which was held under the slogan)) "Clean environment means seeking sustainable development" on the Center for Studies on Basra and the Arabian Gulf and the discussion hall at the college of Administration and Economics in the presence of a number of professors and researchers and participation (45) in search of researchers from the University of Basra and Iraqi universities. The conference aims to diagnose the causes of environmental pollution and its most important and disruptions and risks of environmental pollution as well as policy proposal and strategies that process environmental pollution and sustainable development in Iraq. The six scientific conference sessions, which concluded on Thursday 2021/12/2, was broadcast on the platform Google Meet Economic, administrative, financial, banking and accounting. The Conference recommended resettlement of the environmental dimension in all plans, policies and local programs, particularly from the oil-producing provinces and the adoption of environmental and national environmental standards and accelerate to take effective and recycling of waste management steps as well as the dissemination of community awareness to create a society that respects the environment and its elements. The researchers also recommend working to approve the environmental tax or pollution tax, which imposes all economic units that cause damage to the environment and the obligations of generators with filters to purify exhausts from their generators. In addition The interaction of those presented in the scientific sessions of the Conference and have made their observations and interventions that have been died and the events concluded after reading recommendations by providing certificates to professors and participating researchers.
