A LECTURER PARTICIPATION IN AN INTERNATIONAL STATISTICAL CONFERENCE:
The lecturer at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra, the lecturer Ali Abdul-Zahra Hassan, participated in the sixteenth (third international) conference of the Iraqi Society for Statistical Sciences in cooperation with Al-Rafidain University College for Statistical Applications ICA2021, which was held under the slogan (Statistical standards are the pillar of monitoring, analysis and decision-making), which was held in 15/11/2021 in the halls of the Mansour Melia Hotel in the capital Baghdad.
The participation included a scientific research presentation in conjunction with Professor Dr. Jassim Nasser Hussein from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of using some of the nonparametric smoothing models to build an appropriate model for predicting the number of cases of covid_19 in Iraq
The research aims to use statistical methods such as nonparametric preamble (some exponential preamble methods) and Box Jenkins method in analyzing time series and reaching to build the best appropriate model to predict the number of infections related to the epidemic (COVID-19) in Iraq.
