Economics Department :
Founded the Department of Economics within the departments of the Faculty of Arts in 1965.Then transferred to the College of Business and Economics established in (1971-1972) hailed the output (39) batch of BA holders economic sciences. The higher studies opened in the academic year (1982-1983) where it was accepted (6) students in the first batch of study Master in section, and the doctoral study of the academic year (1986-1987) accepted (2) in the first installment, bringing the number of graduates of certificate holders MA (113) and (42) the number of graduates holding doctorates. Study was introduced Higher Diploma – in economics of energy of the current academic year (2012-2013) and the outline of admission (25) students. In the academic year (2014-2015) three classes were opened for students to study in the third stage ;
1- General Economic Branch.
2- Strategic planning Branch.
3- Oil Economic Branch.
4- Transport Economic Branch).
