A MASTER’S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRA DISCUSSES THE REGIONAL INTEGRATION OF THE GULF FINANCIAL MARKETS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF APPLICATION IN IRAQ:
A master's thesis in Banking and Finance at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra discussed the regional integration of the Gulf financial markets and the possibility of application in Iraq.
The thesis of researcher Youssef Alaa El-Din Abdel-Hafiz showed the need to open up between markets and allow the movement of capital to be more liberal, remove restrictions and adopt the means of technological progress.
The thesis aims to measure the relationship and interdependence between the Gulf financial markets and the Iraqi market for securities as well as to know Iraq's benefit from the integration of its market with the financial markets in the Arab Gulf.
The thesis reached the possibility of merging the Iraqi market with the Gulf markets and benefiting from them as they are developed markets as well as increasing the investments of Gulf citizens in the Iraqi markets, increasing the bonds of interdependence and increasing the facilities to enter the financial market of Iraq.
